Challenge

For Monopoly Go!, the mobile version of the iconic empire-building game, Scopely tasked us with creating content tailored for the French market, marking their first-ever campaign designed exclusively for France. Our goal was to engage a French audience aged 25-45 by delivering humorous, captivating content that captures the game’s playful spirit and the fantasy of managing billions.

To achieve maximum awareness and build brand loyalty, we crafted content designed to deeply resonate with our core audience. Fully optimized for YouTube and Meta, our 30-second formats were designed for maximum clarity and impact.

Our challenge was to refresh Monopoly's aging image while staying true to the elements that have made it so beloved worldwide. To ensure strong relevance for the French market, we infused the campaign with humour, cultural nuances, and sharp references to everyday life, making sure the content would not only stand out but also connect meaningfully with our audience.

Idea

We combined live action and motion design to capture the fun dynamics of player interactions in Monopoly Go!, highlighting the game’s playful tone while evoking the fantasy of making, managing, and even "stealing" millions.

The concept takes a fake testimonial approach, where players share absurdly exaggerated stories, dramatically confessing how their relationships—whether with friends, partners, or family—have been turned upside down by the game.

This blend of intense, over-the-top confessionals with the humour of "playing like a billionaire" offers a hilarious and relatable perspective on how the fantasy of managing billions in Monopoly Go! can spill over into real-life absurdities, all while emphasizing the game’s lighthearted, fun nature.
